These firms are working with Oracle Corp. on its proposed East Bank tech campus
Oracle Corp. (NYSE: ORCL) is starting to build a team of lobbyists, lawyers, architects and others as the Fortune 100 tech company pursues its proposed $1.2 billion waterfront campus on the East Bank of the Cumberland River.
Should Metro Council approve an incentives plan for Oracle at its May 4 meeting, Oracle's team likely would expand in the months ahead as more in-depth land planning occurs for its 1.2 million-square-foot office hub. Oracle aims to employ 2,500 people there by the end of 2027, a headcount that would soar to 8,500 within four years after that.
Here's who we know so far, according to public record and Business Journal sourcing:
Jigsaw: Founding partners Greg Hinote, Beecher Frasier and Sam Reed started this Nashville lobbying firm in fall 2019. They're Oracle's chief local lobbying firm; Oracle also has registered one of its executives, Merissa Khachigian, as a Metro lobbyist. Hinote was deputy mayor of Nashville for eight years under Mayor Karl Dean and also is former chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Jim Cooper (whose brother, John, is now mayor).
